172 Cup Lowering and Alloy wheel changing

Hi guys,

Just scanned through the 15 pages in here cant really find much info, im wanting to drop my clio 172 cup so it sits just above the wheels, im thinking vmaxx but all the kits i can find are non cup?

Also it has the standard turninis on - what size are they? im considering just getting them powdercoated white - any problems with this :)

i dont mind paying for quality when comes to suspension, dont really wat to spend more than £400 though.

Thanks for your time

Alan

hehe i never realised coiloverkits are so expensive! the vmaxx kit for £401 looks like what im after :)

i will never go to the track though, its about 70% looks 30% ride comfort...

you think maybe just lowering springs? anyone got a picture of a cup dropped 60mm on standard alloys?

i would never just do springs alone mate, if your going over -20mm then i would say 100% uprate the dampers/shocks aswell (tbh i would say you would be best uprating the dampers when lowering at all)

if your not going to be playing about with the ride height then coilovers aren't needed, the only other time they are handy is if your wanting to go silly low (and you wouldn't be considering decent ride comfort if that was the case anyway)

if i was you i would look at a spring/damper combo (koni/eibach)

google is your friend mate, also worth speaking to some of the companies that are on here like Ktec/JMS/BTM (Fred) etc... and they will help you out

theres plenty of info on the site aswell

i'll be getting coilovers for my cup (track use) so don't know wheres best to get the springs/dampers from but you won't go wrong with speaking to the people/companies above

as said koni dampers and eibach springs are a good setup, don't know how much it will come to but if its over your budget or won't go low enough then the k-tec/v-maxx coilovers have plenty of revies on the site to help you decide
