172 cup mot fail

As above failed on rear brakes, and they have tryed a zip tie holding the arm up and it makes no difference, now they want to remove the load valve, is this safe or will the rears start locking up

Sounds like dodgy as fcuk bodge central to me, but I don't know anything

It has low effort on the rear brakes?

That alone is not a failure, the Cup's left the factory with very low fixed rear brake effort as standard.

There's a VOSA release somewhere advising MOT testers not to fail Cups because of low braking affort at the rear.

ye they know this and passed it last year with 50 and 55 but this year its down to 30 and 32, it looks like the valve is broken

If they remove the valve you'll have way to much rear brakes.
