172 Cup Powersteering solutions

Hi, Just after some knowledge from the cliosport members please,

Have power steering leak on my 172 cup,

i am not sure at the moment if it is the pump or pipe as once cleaned it is under the pump again after a couple of miles (still havent pin pointed where!)

From reading on here my pipe from pump to rack is different due to being a cup (no A/c?) ?

But a pump (likely to get a recon one at the moment due to renaults price) for all cliosports of this shape will fit and are the same?

The pipes are prone to breaking when changing the pump?


Any more light that could be shed on this would be much appreciated.

the pump will be the same Ash. If the pipes are okay at the moment then I would change the pump and then have a look at the pipes when up and running again. Make sure no PS fluid has got on the cambelt.

Check the leak isn't the PAS pressure sensor first as they are prone for it.
