172 CUP STARTING PROBLEM

HI GUYS I'M NEEDING A LITTLE BIT OF ADVICE ABOUT MY CAR.. :S

THE OTHER DAY IT HAS DEVELOPED A STARTING PROBLEM.

IT WON'T START OFF THE KEY BUT IT WILL BUMP START.. ???

I'VE PUT A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR ON IT AND CLEANED UP THE TDC SENSOR BUT STILL NO JOY.. ???

I WAS READING THRU A THREAD LAST NIGHT AND A FEW PEOPLE WERE TALKING ABOUT THE LIVE FEED FROM THE ALTERNATOR TO THE BATTERY AND A BLACK THIN WIRE LEADING TO THE SOLENOID COULD BE THE PROBLEM.. ???

1. TURN CAPS LOCK OFF

2. What is the symptoms of the problem? Won't crank over or cranks but won't catch and fire?

Haha f**k! Never noticed they were on.. It won't crank over mate. Need to bump start it if i want to drive it and its starting to really annoy me now! Going to have a look at the wiring tomorrow morning (weather permitant)

Hi thanks for the reply, I'm going to get a new starter from Renault tomorrow. Could take a few days tho! I'll let you know how I get on and hopefully my problem will be solved.. Cheers!
