172 cup winter clean

Thought the cup was looking pretty :dead: sat there covered in dirt collected over the past few weeks, so I braved the cold and gave it a clean

Sadly, a couple of the turinis didn't fair too well over the winter :dapprove: I knew they would need a re-furb/replacing when I bought the car, but thought they might last a little longer

I attacked the interior too!

Lovely! Mines badly needs cleaned, but its under about a foot of snow, so it aint happening for a while!

Mine's got to have been well over 1k since it was last cleaned.

Black carpet was in it when I got it; so I assume it came from the factory that way as I don't think it's been changed

Adjusting the colour curves to increase contrast and range; I guess it would slightly imitate HDR stuff yeah

Works better with some photos than others, these were quite dull, but been very happy with results doing this same edit in the past...

The last of the cups came with parts of the 182 interior. I had two and my 52 plate was standard, and the 04 plate had the following;

So black carpet, different darker dash plastics, soft touch with metallic speckles, and squidgy soft touch dash leather (as opposed to hard stuff from 172)

I've been getting quotes from Renault dealers, which have been varying in as much as £200 from place to place! :S

The best I had was direct from Renault Retail Group online which came in at £575 inc vat and delivery

I considered the difference in offset between cup and trophy turinis, but I don't think the 7-8mm a corner difference will really effect the way the car drives and handles?

I'd like to get to a couple of track sessions/days in 2010; I'll will most likely refurb my cup turinis and keep them for this purpose and use the anthracite trophy's for everyday. Can't hurt to have two sets of wheels

Id get some cheap 15's for track use (turbines are ideal), and refurb your cup turinis for road use.

Also, keep silver wheels on it! Its a rare car!

The offset and change in tyre size will make a difference to handling with the trophy wheels.

I thought the physical size of the wheels were the same (16" and 7J), with the only difference between the two being the offset and colour, as I was planning on using my existing 195/45/16 tyres?

No. 172 cup has a lower offset (stick out more) than a 182, which has a higher offset.

filth was too cold to wash mine today, picking up a pressure washer in the morning so hopefully be able to get it done tommorrow. its in a similar state to yours though, and i kinda like it covered it salt / grit!
