172 Ff Vs Gti6

I am currently deciding on what car I would like for next year. Budget is £4k and I ll be buying around easter time. I want a good hot hatch and these 2 are the best around to me. Which one then? 306 GTI or the 172 full fat ph1/ph2.

I would go for the GTi-6.

Reasons for? 6 speed and Peugeot Ecosse are 20 minutes away from me while GDI and AWT are 6 hours away...

Personally I'd say get a 172 but the only way to be sure what's right for you is to test them both.

On a similar budget and test driving similar cars I've decided to go for a Clio 172 mk1. Noticably quicker than the GTi-6, you can get newer cars with less miles for the same money. Going on from that it was a no-brainer decision for me.

It's a tough call that one. The 172 will be a little younger, but the Pug is an amazing car. I loved mine, and to be honest the 172 and 182 with Cup packs I owned never really excited quite as much when it came to roundabout fun.

But I'd have to say 172.

id go for the 172, but thats because im not keen on the gti6, and i have a 172!!!

306 Rallye anyday of the week, however.

Finding a good GTi 6 these days is hard, cracking cars though. For me I'd go for a MK2 172 easier to find a good one.

Dont really want the rallye as I want comfort and air con etc
