172 Heater won't turn off.....

I went to look at a 172 this morning and the heater would not turn off, you could change the temp and direction but not speed.

Is this a new heater resistor and if so is that an easy diy job?

Same happened to ours and it was the resistor, easy job to do yourself, I think it's 2-4 (can't remember without looking) screws to get the top if then it's got a plug yo undo and that's about it, refitting is the reverse.
