172 indicator/side and main bulbs

As you'll know, just acquired a mk2 172 on Friday.

Thinking about silvervision indicators front and rear.

Searched here and to be honest I'm still a bit confused and there's a lot more to choose from since I was last on powerbulbs.com for indicators for my VTS.
The wizard says I need PY21W for indicators, H7 sidelights and H1 highbeams but I don't think this is right.

Can somebody please tell me which bulbs I need for:

Sidelights, main beam and indicators (I'm assuming front is same as rear).

Xenons are different to the above aren't they? I'm not after replacing them anyway.

Much difference between like of Philips Silvervision or these new Osram Diadem. The SV look a little orangey still but the Diadem look more silvery when off.

Reading the handbook does help sometimes!

Sides W5W
Main H1
Xenon D2S

Could someone recommend a brand of bulb though? Cheers.

Cheers, I did see one of your threads when I searched but my manual seems to imply H1 for main beam, so I've already ordered them.

It specifically says what the other lights all are but the mains it doesn't.

If anyone has a manual handy... on page 5.11 it says:

Main beam headlights, type of bulb: anti UV (see box)

[then in the box further down it says]

...you must use anti-UV 55W bulbs. Using any other type of H1 bulb may damage the headlight.


So it's implying H1 but never says it exactly.

Depends if you have Xenons or normal headlight units as I think the manual was wrote from a standard headlight point of view, as was found out on this thread ( http://cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=111735&page=2 ) on post number 29.
