Not all that quick these, 144 bhp per ton.

Its the 2001 Ibiza Cupra's you have to watch, these are quicker and are closer in performance to a 1*2 @ 163 bhp per ton

Weight has killed the newer one tbh

Yeah and the old ones are usually heavily modified, making them rapid!

Ibiza's are gash. No feel to them at all. Yeah, you can mod them but so what - that's easy!

I had a bit of fun with a new cupra FR on the way home today and exact same thing happened to me. Pulled away slowly to begin with and then pulled away loads when i got to about 3rd gear.

Quicker or not I bet the turbo makes them feel quicker, in a straight line at least.

They are easy and cheap to get decent power gains from too
