172 windscreen

Lee

  BMW M2C

This could just be me, but has anyone else noticed just how quickly the inside of a 172 windscreen gets dirty. This is without using the aircon to clear it when its steamed up. I seem to be cleaning it every other week sometimes more often.

I never had the same problem on my previous car, I used to leave that for months before getting the cloth out!!!

Sounds like dirt and dust is getting in from outside

Hmm weird

In the cold you seem to be endlessly switching on the climate to clear the screen. Never had a car that mists up so much. Nice to have the clear screen switch to clear it quickly

a lot of new renaults come without a particle filter fitted(especially the cheaper cars like clios and meganes).often there is a slot for the filter but its not fitted at production.also its an additional charge at a service if its replaced(the basic service price doesnt include a particle filter).the dealer has to get your authority to change it due to the extra charge.sounds like these clios havent got one fitted.if it was there and needed changing then you would notice a reduction in the amount of air from the heaters(as the filter gets blocked up with dirt).ill find out where the filter should go on a clio and then you can check yours(probably fits in a slot in the aircon box under the scuttle panel,if it does theres probably an easily removable acces panel on the scuttle panel trim).cant remember ever fitting one at work though.
