17's on a 172 with coilovers

Right I'm chopping the standard clio 172 alloys in but not sure what to do about new ones. I'm not bothered about bling etc just want to make sure I can have the best handling I can get. If I put 17's on do people think this will affect the handling and should I stay with 16's?

Toyed with that but its going to be either 16's or 17's. Looking more like 16's
