180 Mile from home and I get horrid gremlins

Fecking thing lol

So cars driving fine, full power ad no missing for 180 miles. Pull away from some lights and it just dies, the electrical fault light comes on solid so i leave it for a bit. Returned to the car 15 mins later to find the light had gone out but now have the Engine management light flashing at me.

Greenflag come out and run a diagnostic check and fine 0 errors on the ECU.

Neither of us can get the immobilser to turn off either.

Anyone experienced this flashing EM light flashing and found out what it means at all? I searched but didn't find much tbh.

8 miles away from seeing family I haven't seen in 14 years too so its proper miffed me off this time.

Well that shows NEVER trust anyone by the roadside to look at your car. Get off your arse, get a multimeter and crack on.

So we get towed 180 miles home. I get out there and 45 mins later I have a running car.

I had a break in a wire which cause no power to ECU which cause flashing management light.

Sorted and running. Lovely stuff

I was ready to pay an auto electrician to come out and failing that put it into Rentech down the road.

Going to order a new key Tuesday instead so I have 2.

Ok another follow up to this

We went to visit more family yesterday, 28 miles later and it's happened again.
New fuse fitted and got home. Today I went back out promising myself to find the true fault.

Loads of swearing and cutting myself up I finally found the suspected fault. The loom running along underneath the battery tray was damaged. The mounting for the coolant hose wasn't bolted to the tray and had rubbed a wire until it was showing. I'm guessing the wire would be touching the bracket and randomly it would touch the bottom of battery tray causing the trip of fuse.

All repaired and once again tested all seems fine now. Any further issues I'll post up for anyone elses future search results
