182 12k service suprise *Reno Shock*

Got quoted £180 + VAT for 12k service, picked car up this morning and got charged £133 all in

What a result!!

What caused them to reduce it so much?

I paid £180 something and that was good compared to the £225 others quoted me.

God knows, i have a Viper I/K so they didnt change the filter,

I didnt hang around to ask them.

£10.55 of that was screen wash/Oil Filter & Disposal charge

£71.40 was Labour

£29.75 was Oil

£2.14 was workshop sundries (wtf?)

£19.92 was VAT

Oh and i got a courtesy car and didnt have to pay any insurance either lol

They didnt wash or Valet it thou which is probably a good thing!

mucho cheap. my labour was closer to £100, nice saving. still a bloody rip off though for a basic oil change.

Did they use Elf Excellium? I thought it was always best to buy a couple of cans from dorris/debbie/whatshername? and provide your own

Nah left the viper on, what they gonna do about it? Any probs has to be directly related to the I/K for them to refuse warranty work. However if it breaks i will swap them back over before i get it taken into them.

£1.18 was screen wash

£5.87 was Filter

£3.50 Disposal charge

Is it that different to the 172 service? My 172 (Mk.2) cost £162 inc vat at feltwells a few months back for its 12K service.

They cannot refuse to do anywork on your car. What if you change the wheels? Fit a smelly tree to your rear view mirror? or heaven forbid you fit non standard ICE They must of been right c***s.

Sn00p - I reckon they make it up as they go along tbh, how do they get £133 for 182 12k and £162 for 172 12k service
