182 Carbon Splitter fitted

  Black Gold 182FF
Fitted my air feed and carbon splitter yesterday, and bought some silvertek bulbs from motorworld for 7 quid (bargain). Anyway, took a couple of pics of the dirty car today. I did the work on my drive, but did not realize how low it was, and got stuck trying to get her off the curb. The next door neighbour (about 101 years old, bless his soul, helped me by lifting the front so I could reverse off).

Next to come, in this order: A good wash & clean, a carbon bonnet, wheels resprayed black or anthracite. (Hopefully all by the end of the week).

Jeans with flip flops got to be the worst, lovely splitter by-the-way.

Splitter looks good.

Fitted my K-tec one a few weeks ago and decided to remove the bumper too.....took a while but end result is great:D

I think jeans/pants are sound with flip flops, especially in this weather, why you'd be wearing jeans in this weather is another question though. He might have just put his flip flops on to nip outside, not expecting to be more than a couple of mins, hence the socks. Another point is, who is it with the flip flops? my money is on the old neighbour, assuming Wirral182 is taking the photo.

How much lower than standard is this Clio? I'm currently on Apex -40s and mine looks similarly low (with splitter fitted), but I've survived over 2 months so far without so much as a scrape on the splitter. Including some dodgy multi-storey car park ramps...

Although I am occasionally worried about it and will be going slightly higher once my FKs arrive

ha you think thats low i cant even get mine up a kerb nowere near! i cracked mine at x-mas when snow covered the kerb up its on being repaired as i speak :)

Yup, I'm being a big shytebag but other members can verify that my Clio ain't going to survive any further offroad antics* if I keep it as low as this :)

It's on Apex -40mm, and with the splitter on now, I will no longer be able to park on the so-called drive, so it's gonna be sleeping on the street from now on.

Get in, I was right! lol

Kev, get the council round to drop the kerb, if they wont do it/want silly money, get a mate round with a load of concrete, accidently drop it on the road right outside your house, and make your own little ramp up to the drive.

OP - Looks good, well low!!

Ally - Looks more than a 40mm drop on your car!

I'm debating whether to fit my CF splitter or sell it. There's a fair few speedbumps round here, so don't want to fit it only to smash it within a week. Don't venture onto drives much so that shouldn't be a problem.

What do you reckon - Fit it ot not?:
