182 clutch slip?

  Clio 182
Hi

Just been on a drive in my 182, i took it up to almost max rpm in second gear but at about 6500,7000 rpm the car made the sound as if it was bouncing off the rev limiter before it had reached it! Do you think this sounds as though the clutch is slipping? The bite on the clutch is quite high also, just wanted your opinions,
Thanks,

When up to temp the limit is around 7200, if you have a "cold start hang on" issue then it wont rev that far, if the clutch is going to slip load it up in say 4th at 3500rpm up a hill and plant your foot see if it revs clean or starts to slip

Easiest way to test for a slipping clutch is from a standstill stick the car in a high gear, 5th say and try to move off giving it plenty of revs. It will just stall if the clutch is ok and if not the car will move off clutch slipping like mad.
