182 cup wheels on 172

What would be the issues (if any) when fitting the 182 cup wheels from my car to my dad's 172(non-cup). Would the offset be wrong and if so what would this do???

There a direct fit don't think you need spacers at all to stop them catching I forget there offsets.

IIRC standard non cup 172 wheels are ET42, 182 cup wheels are ET45 so 3mm spacers (or 5mm if you want a little extra track) and roberts your mothers brother.
