Got 2 to look at

Tosed with the idea of a
Type R
Leon Cupra
Meg 225

But nothing standards out as much as the trophy.

Correct me if am wrong!

From a 182 I'd consider saving a little more and go for a R26. That is, if you like them. I'm concerned you'll be dissapointed in some ways with the Trophy. No climate, xenons, leather rears and door guards and it could be a bit of a mistake. I'd not take the decision lightly.

Dont get me wrong I loved my RB, but to get it how I want it, it need to be lowered.

Which then means it doesnt go in my drive as I dont live in the best place in the North East

Trophy is awesome fun out of the box and doesn't really need anything and it fits in my drive.

Sounds like you have already made you mind up, so might as well go for it. Dont see them as an upgrade though, more a side step car tbh that isn't really all that iconic at all, hence value still falling at a fair old rate.

If you want a special car, buy a Williams.

lol, oh just wait til you see the Williams sweetness, will be the best one you have ever seen I guarantee it :)

oh, answer you're email too :( think I sent it you your hotmail

Was going to say, if I wanted a rust mobile I would buy a nova!

As iconic as the Williams is... its just way to old for me now.

Trophy hits the spot with looks, speed, handling and affordability.

just phone me princess! i don't do this interweb shizzle

Still on the number ending 624? I'll give you a bell after work, I'm off home at 3ish today darling :)

I've never driven a Williams. :(

;)

lol, you will have to ask the boss VERY nicely... I think it will be lucky to ever see a road again! You and Naith get your arses in gear and get a meet arranged after FCS, we're wasting good weather opportunities here, should be having weekly meets while it's nice lol

Leeroy, Trophy's are over rated in the extreme. I borrowed one for a week and almost fell asleep driving it. For the extra few k over the 182, I'd buy something quick tbh. My 172 was miles better in every situation with a couple of mods.

Well lest thats honest.

Only down review I have been given so far.

Only do honesty... as brutal and unsubtle as it sometimes can be lol.

Just dont get the hype, it's a red 182 with remote dampers that are worse than getting a decent twin tube set of coilovers and having them properly setup. Maybe the fact my car is highly modified clouds my judgement, but then if I thought the stock Clio was decent I'd have left it that way. IMO they all need mods, mainly more power.

It does cloud your judgment, massively. I drove another trophy last week. Yes it has areas that are weaker than a coilovered car. But it's still awesome fun.
There's genuinely something wrong with anyone that doesn't enjoy giving a trophy death.

I've driven pretty much nothing but Clio's for the past 9 years and nearly all the standard models bore me tbh. My Williams was the only one that I never tired of driving tbh, even my silly power 172 gets boring and I'm already looking at more things for it.

I had a Trophy. I'm telling you not to. The seats are s**t. Too high, not supportive enough if planning track work.

I wouldn't call them s**t. They're just good seats for normal road use, on track they lacked support. The shoulder support was good, the lower back and thigh support was pretty rubbish. Nicely finished though, unlike the current Recaros.

Personally, i dont think it would actually be possible to dislike anything on a Trophy  And as has been said, less to break.

Well except maybe the height of the driving seat.

Whip out the black mounts/spacers the subframes sit on, you wont believe the difference. Done it to my standard seat! Trust me!

I'd have a Trophy, really like them at the mo!

I've only just noticed the guide having searched for ages! I've put up a thread in the interior section with a couple of questions!

I've had a FF 182 then went to a Trophy! It's a definite step up not just the handling but the fact you seem to get a load more looks, rare car, and people even stopping you for a chat! I do miss the few extras the FF 182 had i.e. climate control, variable speed wipers and xenon's but these can be added to the Trophy. In all I think it's the better car and much more composed than the standard 182.

ooooh what's all this seat adjustment shananigans???........would it allow me to sit lower?

great excuse to get out on a Sunday afternoon and tinker?

Trophys are good but I cant really see it being a cost effective upgrade from a 182FF. Not for the money trophys are advertised at anyway!

I have the trophy suspension on my 182 aswell as the wheels and spoiler and in my opinion it is the best compromise as I still have the xenons other toys and a nicer interior.
