182 Front Splitter

  E90 320d M Sport
Picked one of these up, genuine, for half the renault price. It has screws with it but I have no idea how the hell to fit it.

If anybody in the Midlands would like to do this for me I would be grateful.

I'll chuck in some beer tokens too :)

If not, where do I start :D??

really easy mate, jack your car up, and you should see some holes which match to the holes in the splitter, just put some screws through, if there are no holes in your bumper, use self taping screws. took me and the missus 20mins to fit, get someone else to give you a hand so tey can keep the other half straight.

Does it matter I have a 172 and the splitter is a 182 one?

Or are they all the same?

From a colleague.

It has renault stickers on bubble bag it came in.

I don't mean drilling the splitter,it has holes,I mean the bumper!

jack up car, offer up splitter, tape or hold in place, screw in self tapping screws through existing holes in splitter into bumper, stand back, enjoy.

I got it for £40 and i'm not selling it lol. :rasp:

I'll have a go at fitting it later.

i just tried fittmg mine. Now do you drill pilot holes in the splitter and use the exsisting screws and holes in the bumber ( would be a pain to get to line up)

or

Keep the exsisting screws in the bumber and hole the splitter with some tape and drill fresh holes thro the splitter and bumper and use the screws with the splitter?

Any hoses that run near by?

I have just literally put it on.

I jacked the car up and then had to drill holes into the splitter and bumper. I then used the self tappers provided to hold it to the bumper.

I advise asking somebody to hold the splitter to the bumper whilst you are drilling and fitting it. It can get fiddly!

Took about 30 mins in total and looks the part :D

I used 2 scissor jacks, about 50-60cm off the floor, just enough so I could easily get the drill under.
