182 - Have I got cup susp or not

When washing my car today i noticed that i could get the hose pipe nozzle under the wheel arch of the one side at the rear but not under the other side. The car is parked on the level, so i got the tape measure out and the one side of my car is 4mm lower?

Does this mean that i have the cup suspension settings only on one side of the car? The cup suspension is supposed to be 3 mm lower so this would seem the logical explanation, unless its not like that and something is wrong somewhere?

Car is already going in on Friday to try and sort my knocking noise (which they said they solved last time but didnt!) and also for a lumpy clutch!

Im not having much luck with this, at least the car looks beautiful and seems to drive like a dream forgetting about these problems I have?

Probably marginally not on the level mate, get a spirit level as 4mm is nothing if its off level

funny that, i asked reno about the possibility of one side being different coz my car feel softer on the left when taking corners hard. they said it couldnt possibly happen. imagine the guy on his way to get the sport suspension and stopping to look at the pirelli calendar. enough said...

The suspension may have settled down more on one side as you may take corners or put load on one side more than another.

Lower on the passenger side Dave? Due to too much pedal on Roundabouts. Solved by going round the wrong way just as fast late at night.

well actually its lower the drivers side which has my big lump pushing it down, could this really be the reason guys? If so will it level itself out?

I think the Cup suspension pack doesnt achaully lower the car just adjuats some angle which lowers the car the suspension itself has the same ride heigh.

Id bottom out the suspension a few time and then recheck it.

The tolerance are a difference of 5mm I think so its still within spec

Just imagine me getting a brand new, sparkling Renaultsport 182 and then ... funny clutch, wondering if my Clio has been fitted with "cup" suspension only on one side, gearbox messin and the stuff!

ive just checked and it actually the passenger side thats lower not the drivers side as i first thought, starting to think i may be going mad, or an elephant has sat on my car overnight as i do live near a safari park!

Check the tyre pressures ? Just an idea you may have tried already, try putting them up and down and see what difference it makes.
