182 inlet manifold..??

I've had a quick search but can't find much...! Would an intake manifold of a 182 fit straight to my 172..? (Direct swap) :dapprove: Are the upper halfs all the same or do they differ..? I know the lower half ones can have RS stamped on them but is this the same with the upper..?

Just fit the lower. That's the uprated bit. But you really won't notice it.

172 and 182 upper are different as the top of the cam cover differs between the two

Nothing performance wise on the upper. Just different fitment.

Cheers... Can the 182 one be modded to fit my 172..? Just the one I'm looking at buying is of a 182 & the guy says it will definitely fit a 172..?? :dapprove:

Make more sense just to get yours matched tbh.
but the gains really are tiny. We are talking less performance difference than a full tank of fuel versus an empty one effecting your weight.
