182 ktec exhaust wont line up

i recently fitted my new ktec exhaust and sports cat. everything has been fine. i just cant line it up. i got the exhaust second hand but its in mint condition and it came with all the brackets. everything really seems ok. it just wont line up. can anyone help?? thanks.

When you say won't line up in which way?? any pics?

the best way i can explain this is that the left tip sits in the cutout perfect, but the right tip sits further in. on the left tip u can read the ktec racing writing that is on the end of the tip. but u cant on the right tip because its sat well into the cutout. i got the exhaust second hand from ebay. but the pics on ebay show the exhaust sitting perfect. somethings wrong and i cant figure it out. i'll try to get some pics on.

Mine does the exact same thing.

Being the lazy bar steward that I am, I have never got round to straightening it!

I will be doing it this weekend though, I think it's just a case of the mounts under the car need sliding to suit don't they???

You just need to undo the sleeve joint between the back box and centre section and push it together more. i have the same exhaust and it fits perfect just need a bit of tweeking

dont think the mounts can adjust how much the pipes stick out, sounds like you need to get the exhaust pipe to the right hand tip bent so that it sticks out the back more

Pffff Not Chavy at all adds a nice Accent to the car Better than those gordy looking red lights that come standard... Yuck!

my laddo at work reckons that the bushes/rubbers that the guy sent with the exhaust are original renault ones meaning he could have kept the modified ones. could this be right??do u need modified or non genuine bushes/rubbers??

Normal renault mounts are fine

well im stuck then lol...weve messed about with it for a while now. i just dont get it because the exact same exhaust came of the same car and was fine?? someone suggested that the bumper could be out, but i work in a body shop and it looks fine. i think its time to get the hammer out.

slacken the joint at the back of the cat and pull it to the side that need to stick out more
