182 Leaking shock

Just noticed a big puddle under the drivers side rear and is coming from the shock ....Is this a big prob and will it need sorting asap as i wont be able to get it in ontil end of next week...Is it ok to drive with it leaking or not recommended....Also this will be done under warranty wont it being 04 reg?

I had the same on my 182. As I was trading it in I drove it until it had leaked dry. It made the wheel bounce around and bang a fair bit.

I'd get it booked in as soon as possible as certainly won't be doing the back end any good. If you are going to continue driving it for a while take it easy.

Ran up my local reno garage today and was told that the shocks arnt coverd beyond 12months ...Is that rite?

Think it is but actually.... i got fed that story but ive had 3 in just under 2 years so only paid for 1. (same corner)

Think there around £90 fitted, but a few ppl might recommend doing it yourself to save dosh. No need to jack up !!

Ok thanks....does anyone know what the part number is and if the cup ones are differnet to the non cup as ive got someone getting and fitting it for me ,dont want to get the wrong part.

doesnt come under warrenty, i just rang renault luton and leicester, both said 12 months warrenty only so anything after your stuffed! i ordered 1 for 51.12 gonna fit myself

Yea im gonna get 1 was told once 1 goes the other goes and to get both but dunna think ill be doin that...Does anyone know if theres a differnece between cup and none cup (cup packs) or is it 1 part for all?

I've had 5 rear shocks replaced under warranty on mine in 2 years. REFUSE TO PAY

and dont replace the opposite shock, if its ok its ok, if you replace it it'll burst, trust me!!! lol s**t design
