182 mats

Does anybody know how I can get the mat fasteners for the 182 mats?

I asked the dealer for them as the car only came with the mats but no fasteners and he said that Renault dont make any!

But I have just found this picture on the forum in another post. Has anyone else had this problem? Its just a hassle that the mat is slipping under the pedels.

I think thats the part code otherwise its

82 00 079 548 CROCHET SUR TAPIS £5.15 ex vat (although I think these may be the bits on the mats.

Im sure they should have come fitted from Renault though.

My mats slip under the pads sometime if I dont check them ever now and again. Very poor quality in the mats mine were worn though after 28k.

No idea to be honest they seem to stick to the carpet but there must only be a small sticky part to them.

Ive been meaning to achaully work out how there attached for a while.

Its just cos mine doesnt have it but the mats have the hole for it (even though they are halfords mats!)

there is a sharp bent plastic loop underneath that you push into and underneath the carpet that how they are attached

Mine didnt come with any - only after hassling the dealer did they eventually find some from another set - supposedly they dont supply them with the mats as standard anymore, as they damage the carpet?

Didnt stop me using them though - very handy to stop the mat going under the throttle (or brake )

Jeremy, you say the car comes with fasteners, but what Im saying is mine didnt. So when I went to the dealer to get them, he said they didnt exists! Obviously they do. I just wanted to know where to get them.

Ive been meaning to post this message for ages but kept forgetting, I had the same problem with the missing fastners.....just a couple of gaping holes....which to be honest......is never a good thing.

ive got some rear mats from a focus over the 182 mats to protect the lol especially drivers side.

The dealer is fobbing you off as he is thick and obviously retarded. tell him they DO exist and the should come with the mats and whoever did the PDI threw them away in the packets.

I made a note to my dealer that I wanted them fitting in the mats and I was not prepared to have mats with dam holes in them.

Such a pitty dealers are so dam dumb.

I went down to the dealer again and spoke to a different guy in the parts department - he just went out the back and got some for me. I must have had a real dumb guy last time I went.

The unfortunate thing is when I came to fit them, one broke!! They arnt very strong. So its back to the dealer again this weekend for another one!

The mats for my 182 were still sealed and in the boot. They came with a bag with the fastners in.
