Hi all,
I purchased my 182 around 6 months ago. I made sure I got one that had the belt kits done and dephaser changed.
All seemed well until a month or ago when I noticed there was a slight rattle/tick kind of noise. Anyhow, recently it's far more prominent, happens every run and so I'm pretty concerned. The noise disappears when accelerating, it's noticeable on idle then gets more regular as speed picks up until I can no longer hear it.
The big belt jobby took place June 2011 around 25/30k miles ago. I have no receipt for the waterpump however and I notice the crank pulley seems to have slight play. The noisy kind of rattle seems to come from the top of the engine, although I can't be sure (will try post a video tomorrow evening).
Any ideas guys on how I could diagnose correctly?
Also, can anyone point me in the direction of my closest reputable Renault Sport specialist? - I live in Slough, Berkshire.
