182 rear brakes - average cost??

Got an advisory on mine in the MOT today, says only just passed with thin rear brake pads, park brake efficiency 22% and service brake efficiency 67%

Renault quoted £150.

What has anyone else paid??

That was just the pads according to the quote they printed out... |(£101.47 labour and £48.32 for pads).

I've had a shitty two days with my car!

does your car have warrenty? I thought u had an 04 plate? and im guessing that becasue you had an MOT it doesnt have warrenty.

if its out of warrenty, dont go near renault!

i paid 105 pound for pads suplied and fitted at r-sport renault in wimbledon

£14 something at GSF for rear pads on the 1*2's.

Pretty easy to fit too.

Paid £200 for genuine renault discs (inc. bearings) and pads from Yozzasport about a month ago. (£45 pads, £155 discs)

Went for genuine renault parts as theres still a few months to go on mine.

Yozza do a package for £185 that uses bendix pads. Think GDi have similar prices but haven't dealt with them.

If theres no warranty issues go for non-renault parts.

Paid £85 for labour to fit discs/pads, oil/fillter change and quick service.

Genuine Renault rear pads are about £34 . Get a local garage to fit em , its a dead easy job so should only cost about 30 quid to fit . Job done .

£8.50 for a set from andrew pages motor factors and fit them myself

The rear pads are the same as saxo vtr/vts so very cheap approx £13 or £14 quid, a independant garage will probs charge an hours labour to fit so about £30-£40

If you know of someone who can fit them for you..
