182 rear shocks

Took my car to renault Leeds today to try and blag a rear shocker under the warrenty. Only to find out they are under warrenty for 12 months (bummer).

I also took it today for a leaky head light washer , Renault told me this is not covered by the warrenty either. (god what is then)

Sometimes i wonder why Renault issue a warrenty, it means sod all...

Can anyone recommend any decent rear shockers for 04 182...

Renault wouldnt put anything under warrenty if they could get away with it.

Ive had 4 shocks go in mine (same corner) and created enough fuss not to pay for them , but they do apparently come under 'wear and tear' and therefore only 12 months. But the head light washer i think you should tell them to pay for.... cant see why it shouldnt be under warrenty. A phone call to Renault UK in front of them often helps lol

Would be interested in other shocks avaliable. Just waiting for mine to go after having the sportlines for 6 months but didnt think there were any for the 182 yet.

Managed to get both headlight washers and a driveshaft done on mine today and it's only got 2 months of it's warranty left... I'd try another dealer and see what happens - certainly the difference in service I've seen today was a refreshing change!

Why would the washers not be covered? Are they claiming you used abrasive water that wore them out? All the more shocking because it's a known and very common fault. Just own them with a phone call from RUK (if they even care).

Just a compliment for how your motor sounds with the Janspeed on, After seeing you video it twisted my arm to purchace one..

Its sounds just right without being over the top like a DOG c**k..

Just need sportlines on mine then thats it, like to keep it standard as possible..

As anyone got the number for Renault U.K...

Im so cheesed off with not getting the head light washer replaced. I can under stand with the shocker, wear and tear.

They quoted me £243 to replace the washer...

No way am i paying that..:nono: :nono: :nono:

Renault customer services is 08000723372 I tried ringing today but couldnt get through.Take it rusty exhausts will come under the 12 month wear and tear policy then?

The shcokser if its leaking is covered under wear and tear for definate take the matter up with Renault UK or go to another dealership and make Renault UK aware of the issue. If the dampers just gone sort them its a bit more difficult but if its obviousl its covered under the sale of goods act as the product is not fit for purpose.

Its the law therefore they do have to fix the car under the sale of goods act.

The headling washer is the same
