182 Service - Answers Please

Just put the 182 in for its 36000 mile service - this is the breakdown:

Service £186.83
New Rear Break Light: £16.45
New Rear Brake Pads (95% worn) £123.38

Also they tell me that the Clio 182 needs its Alternator Belt changed every 36000 miles and that costs £167.50. Now tell me this - what the fk is an Alternator Belt and is this true - does the mechanical book really say they have to change it every 36000 mile and is this expensive ?

I had a look on Eurocarparts.com and they charge £166 for an alternator for the 2.0 sport full stop.

Opinions please cos I dont know what I'm talking about

its only the BELT not the alternator itself, the belt is £12 its the labour as its an arse of a job on a 172.
the pad change is a rip off its a 20 min job with pads @ £20ish

yup the aux belt needs changing!

£16.46 for a bulb!!!!
£123.38 for rear pads!!! £22 from us!

take it to rentech or similar
