182 - service costs @ 12k, 24k etc

  Golf Mk6 Oil Burner

Just wondering what the costs are every 12k as just seen a price of £800 for 72k service which is very worrying!!

Does anyone know what the first 3 are roughly ? 12k, 24k, 36k ??

Mine is going in for the first one soon.

As soon as i know i will post. it should be EXACTLY the same as a 172/cup

  Focus ST3 + proper Mini

booked my 172 in for its 12k service for monday. £170 was quoted £185 to start with until I played off 2 different dealers.

Seems to vary from £130 - £180ish depending where you are.

dont take it to renault and let those monkeys get thier hands on it.

find a local reputable garage that will do a proper job and save yourself some cash.

and someone dont come with the renault service history makes it worth more.

blah blah

i couldnt care who services the car as long as its done right.

Only thing to be careful with about getting servicing done from a Non-Reno dealer is the warranty. Not sure but there may be some small print in the warranty that states it must be serviced at a main dealer to keep the warranty valid.

May be worth checking this out before getting the service done

This is right, as part of the renault warranty you need to have it serviced by a renault dealer with original parts. There was new law passed that stated that manufacturers cant enforce this and as long as you have repairs carried out at a garage which uses genuine manufacturers parts then you are all right, but only a few manufacturers have agreed to go by it and Renault was not one of them, they will make it very difficult for you if you dont have it serviced with them.

i agree tom, but renault are being very ar*ey about it and will not make it easy, are you going to your dealer for yours? I dont mind using renault for the first two services but the 36k one is a real killer costing around £375 for my brothers 1.2 so I am not looking forward to that one.

Renault didnt opt out, they have just never released anything that says they will abide by it afaik, read something in one of the car magazines about it.
