182 shocks on 172 cup that ok??

iv just bought a cheap pair of rear shocks from a breaking 182 for my clio 172 cup as one is leaking-they are all the same arent they, just wanna make sure before i fit them.

i thought they were all the same at the rear (bar the Trophy) - what are the part numbers on them?

im 99% they are yeah. not sure on part numbers though

current part number is 8200662257, but it superceded an earlier number (same damper. it'll be on search somewhere). part number's in relief at the bottom of the tube

ed. hang on - not sure they are all the same after that. type that part number into search; it brings up a few threads (that part number is defo the current number for a 172 Cup rear damper btw).

Dampers are the same as far as I know, it's the springs that differ.
