182 style manifold and decat - worth while?

Seen these selling on eBay

Just wondered if anyone has bought one and if there would be much noticeable difference (noise and performance) between that or fitting just a decat. Currently have a ktec stealth with silenced midpipe.

Standard manifold is great out of the box. I'd leave it as it is tbh

That manifold will probably loose you power.
To fit a 182 manifold the sub frame needs to be removed or the cylinder head taken off.
Just not worth the effort.

I was told that the main difference between a 172 and 182 was the manifold not sure if that's correct? I was thinking of just getting the ktec decat to match what I have. Bearing in mind the extra hassle to change the manifold. These just seem quite reasonable price compared to buying a decat from ktec.

I have a Renault 182 manifold that I will be fitting to my ph1.
The head will be coming off for porting and its having cams, Im after a bit more mid range punch which is what the 182 manifold gives.

172 manifold is 4 into 1
182 manifold is 4 into 2 into 1

I prefer the 182 manifold personally but I only fitted it as I was doing other mods as above.

On its own its a PITA to do for little benefit really.

If you want to change it just get a genuine Renault manifold for it
