182 to ph quick

i've recently gone the other way, from a Ph1 172 to a 182.

my ph1 172 was by far the superior car. Faster, more responsive, better looking, better handling, cheaper tyres...

i want it back!

There are a lot of good ones about, my old one was perfect but needed a few hundred quid spending on it due to wear and tear.

Wow, never thought I'd hear you say that! I thought you loved your 182

edde you should get a 172

Not as only car the costs stupid and I've tried the second car lark just didn't work for me.

My old Williams was quicker though and that just not quick enough to justify as I was bored near enough instantly even the 320hp Elan I went in last weekend wasn't quick enough realy.


Looking at somehting a bit quicker and scarer though maybe soon will have to see.

Get the 306, I was going to get a Ph-Ugly but going for a Rallye or a GTi 6 now.

I'm really tempted to go for a ph1 172, love the front of them.

I think the front of them are bloody horrible..
It looks like a handicap version of a proper clio..

Nah, front of the ph-quick is brilliant IMO - much more menacing. Only downside is the interior.

But is it worth getting shot of a good 182 and gambling on a 2nd hand 172 for the sake of £4k? You know your car's history and that counts for a lot IMO. Depends on how vital the £4k is in your house plans...

Saw a mint H-reg 205GTI around Grangemouth yesterday for £1,800 (sign in it's window) - not sure if it was a 1.6 or 1.9 as Jo was driving, so we didn't get close to it LOL.

if ur bored of the 182 an want to get rid i think the next best car has to be honda type r don't think i would get another clio but def go for the mag f1

Not much difference in performance plus you won't find a decent one for much less than £6.5k. Not Rory's favourite car anyway

I love my ph-quick. I dont think you would regret it to be honest. It is quite different to the mk2 172 and 182 (ive had both).

You do need to drive a few though and get a feel for whats a good one and whats not. I looked at 7 before settling on my current one.
