182 Trophy, Should I for a few months?

Im saving up for a 1er coupe, but I quite fancy sampling a trophy for a few months. Theyre filth cheap now and I rekon I could buy one and make a minimal loss on it in a short time frame, insuring the thing for a few months would only dent my monthly outgoings rather than my savings.

Are they unrelaiable? i know the price for new dampers is stoopid, and the gearbox never felt that great in the 172 I drove. I wouldnt want the hassle of a dog with them being a bit old now.

Great cars.

Would be very easy to buy one, then punt it on in a few months time without losing money.

Problem is, after a few months it will have got under your skin & you'll never want to get rid ...

Hence why i still have mine, when i was supposed to sell it upon purchase of the M3!!!

Just read it.

it was OK, bearing in mind I had the GT at the time, the TL4 isnt great but it does seem to move well.

The JC5 seemd very strange, I liked it but it was just a little strange coming from the tl4.

Buying a Trophy is just like any other car really. But pay close attention to the following:

1. Cambelt, etc - needs to have been done at a specialist that isnt ret4rded
2. Sachs front dampers need refurbing every once in a while, it costs £500, so try to buy one thats had it done recently.

Simples.
