182FF Lumpy at tickover

Owen

My 182, once warm, ticks over at about 600ish rpm and feels quite lumpy when it does so - and sends slight pulsing vibrations through the car (most notable throught the gearstick). Is it normal for them to be quite lumpy on tickover or does mine need its idle speed looking at? :S

It's normal, something to do with valve timing and emissions.

People on here reckon that a quality fuel like V Power or Ultimate helps to smooth the idle.

Cheers Mart, puts the mind at rest! Only that b*****d dashboard rattle to sort now....

My dads 172 idles really badly too (sounds like it's going to cut out sometimes) I tell him to get some v power in it & see if that cures it.
