197 engine into 172

What is the difference? Why won't it fit? I know of a 197 engine going for reasonable price and wondered if it will be a straight swap?

Change the engine and the gearbox then. Iv'e got no idea if it this is easy though.

You may as well just stick another 172 engine in .197 engines only make about 175 to 185 tops from the factory .not worth the extra effort for the very small increase imo.

physically you could make it fit, electronics on the the hand, no so easy

you need custom mounts, driveshafts etc etc etc, huge effort

Ah, sounds completely pointless then- no doubt someone will have wasted their time doing it!
