197 exhausts....louder than 182?

only got 150 miles on clock but when hitting 3-3.5k revs in 3rd up it does seem to have a lot more growl than the 182..is this normal?

the 197 seems louder at idle, i noticed that, but i can't remember what my standard 182 system sounded like now

Yes, the 197s I've driven have been louder. Renaultsport are making their cars louder as apparently it appeals to the British market.

Common problem, It'll fall off next week.

Best replace it with something else as soon as you can.

*edit* It might also be due to the sound leaking through all the panel gaps.

They are engineered to sound more 'sporty'. The 172/182 sounds pish as standard. I like the way the 197 sounds, just right
