1992 clio 16v alloy sump

Hi im new to the sporty clio game, had various kit cars in the past, i am trying to remove the sump from my 1992 clio 1.8 16v as it has a small crack, apparently it can be done with out removing the engine by undoing the right enging mount and the bottom mount and simply lifting up slightly!

Does anyone know if this is true, also does anyone have any budget tuning tips, i am doing suspension and basic external engine mods, i would like to track day/ sprint the car.
