2.0 16v into a Clio 1.8 16v

Ok first thing was my Gearbox starrted to whine like a B*****.

Now ive managed to blow up my engine completely! Think ive bent/Broken a valve amongst various other nasties...lots of horrible sounds coming from the engine bay.

So this is the perfect time to upgrade! My question is, can i just find a Clio Willy or an Early Megane 2.0 16v(F7R) Donor car and Change the Engine and box straight over? if so what other parts would i need for the transplant?

Would this all go in fairly easily (i.e just a straight swap?) or would it require loads of fiddling around?

mine went straight in took em just over a day helps if its the same year though as early and late wiring looms are slightly differant i think

only the early megane engines will go in as the late ones are differant

quite a few people are havin this done now, the only difficulty is finding an engine and box

i have a megane bottom end for sale, if thats any help? all you need is a clio 16v head, and it is the equivelant of a williams lump. the valves in will be slightly smaller though(omly difference 2 willy engine)
