Hi all,

just purchased a clio 200 turbo edc, I was wondering what other owners are getting MPG wise, driving the thing round town and best it is returning on the trip computer is 23 MPG. Sorry for such a boring first post but I'm baffled by the reports others are getting, mine is an ex demo with 10k miles. Has anyone added a superchips unit as this is meant to improve the MPG?

Going from an Abarth 500 ss returning 34 mpg to this with 23 on the same run is a bit of a shock, sorry to be wet behind the ears but reviews stated a lot higher figures, as they say every little helps plus the quoted times on the superchips are very tempting 0-60 5.5 and 0-100 in 12 seconds, that's if I have pocket money to do these runs. The question is really out of interest in what other 200t owners are achieving.

Welcome. I wouldn't go putting any chips on a car under warranty. 23 mpg Is probably right if you are just driving it around town.

sounds like a recipe for 23mpg

infact it's almost identical to my focus, only I have more power and a bigger engine

Hi Knuckles, take the rstuning is a dedicated tuner for clio sport, generic map? Apologises for the ignorance but new to the whole mapping thing. The super chips blue fin allows you to take the map off say you needed warranty work

Rstuning is a renaultsport specialist, but there is an RStuner box which can hold maps, you could get a dedicated map from retuning and keep it in the RStuner for when you need to switch the map.

Just got my new LY 200 EDC demo today. Have u ever reset the trip computer? Just covered its 1st 50 miles today and averaged over 40mpg. Also I don't think the car is that heavy Jaff, lighter than previous model. Cheers

Think I got a bargain what do you think? 15800 for the clio (White, cup, lux pack and 9100 for my 60 plate). Will post some pics, only downside was the car came with what can only be described as bargain basement tyres without side wall protection, sods law yesterday going crawling speed out of my street, low sun in eyes misted window rushing to get the little one to school = well and truly scruffed alloy , to make matters worse I went to get the dunlops fitted at the weekend only to find the dealer had given me the wrong some else's lock and wheel nut.

Nice, I have reset it numerous times, was it motorway or stop start. Any mods planned for your new beauty?

Unfortunately not, I work for Renault so this is my new demo to replace my white one. It was mainly main roads (60mph) 23mpg does seem v low, I usually drive 3 miles to work each day and it will do 30mpg. What spec is your Clio?

Sounds nice. Leather? I didn't have the RS monitor on my 1st as it wasn't yet available but I ordered it on this one and if I was tracking it this system would be amazing. Unfortunately u are right, it can't be added afterwards.

Monitor envy! enjoy, no leather, not a fan so no big deal for me. Not thinking of a remap the numbers are impressive, check out telboy on clio 197.com goes like the sh*t of a stick.
