2004 2.0 182 without twin exhaust?

Finally finished sorting everything out with Renault... Deffo a 172 from 2002. Apparently it was never sold through renault but bought by a company like a car supermarket(?!) Who buy the base model and then spec it up to order, so all renault know is the chassis number and nothing else about it like whether its got aircon or not... never heard of this before! So its the "Car Supermarket company" that registered it wrong, and it wasnt registered till 2 years after it was made... that jesus picture just about sums it up!!!

Sounds like an import.

In which case you paid £5k, for an imported 172, thats probably worth about £2k now.

Like someone else said, how on earth did you not realise it wasn't a 182? If you're buying a car of this nature, you're going to notice the differences between models :S

To be completely honest... I'm new to all this clio business, had never owned one before! I didn't know the cosmetic difference whether it was a 172 or 182 when I bought it, all I knew was that it was in showroom new condition with every add-on you could dream of, had only done 37000 miles with FSH, came with a full service and tank of petrol and MOT, and had the time of my life when I took it for a test drive! It was also the only cheapish half decent second hand car (that I'd loved since it first came out as I was a passenger in one) in the area. It was only after I bought it I noticed that other clio's of the same year had the exhausts...

Oh well never mind I still love it and don't want to get rid of it, even if its costing me more than anything else in my life!!!


p.s. I've changed my car on my profile for all you hardcore cliosport lovers out there who may have been offended... :rasp:

I'm enjoying very much... except for repairs! Every time I fix something it seems that something else is going wrong at the moment... I think it was serviced by a one-armed partially sighted deaf guy whilst pissed to be honest. Its cost me so much money the last couple of months.

I was driving it last week a couple of days after getting a track rod end and rear shock replaced when I heard a clunk come from the rear every time I went round a corner... I was effing' and blindin' all the way home only to discover a bottle of sambuca rolling around in the boot...!
