2005 182 84k - £2k

Yes but in Kent from where I live, so discount that as being a real 15 mile trip. It's about a 2 1/2 hour round trip, probably more so on a Saturday, and I just cba. Plus if something goes wrong, it would be effort getting it back to the garage. They certainly have some bargains though... have a really nice Celica T-Sport with part-TRD kit for only £2k as well!

There's an Octavia vRS just up the road I might look at lol, bit different I know!

No such thing as a free lunch.

There's something wrong with it.

Do you know that as in it's known on this forum? Or just guessing... noticed the exhaust is a little wonky from the rear picture.

trade sale! expect to spend money, ive seen them sell for 2.5k with similar mileage, defo not a bargin,

bargin would be at 1k

no 182 is going to be 1000 last one i paid 1400 and it was ok but needed a lot of work. could just be a dephaser or clutch outside looks tidy

There's one just up the road from me for around £2k. No cup packs (doesn't bother me as I'll be modding) and 109k miles, and the belts need doing... but full service history, only 2 previous owners and just passed MOT without even a single advisory, sound good?

No cup packs, belts need doing and high mileage.

Yeah, sounds a right gem.

This means NOTHING. I know a bloke that will print out an mot (without even seeing the car) for £100.

Robbing b******s, it's only £50 in the midlands hahaha!

Joking aside, an MOT means nothing. It's quite easy to get a ticket without checks even been done on a car.

Well starting bid is £1,750. How much are the belts these days... £500?

Mileage doesn't bother me when backed up with full history, I've had cars over 100k before. Packs don't bother me as I want new wheels, coilovers, and a carbon fibre lip. So for me, it seems okay, bidding ends next Saturday afternoon anyway. So if the price is still reasonable come the morning I may give him a call.

But the point is that you can buy a better car for the same money.

And it hasn't got full service history has it. You just said the belts need doing.

Full service up until now... obviously the seller cba spending £500 on it and wants rid. They were done at 73k now its on 109k. Can I get 182 for that price? Not seen much better deals around here, could go for a 172 but I want a 182 really if I can afford it.

182's make less power standard than 172's from the experience of around 15-20 of them at 3 different RR days :) low mileage 172 cup ftw mate.

Cambelt isn't due on miles until 144k, its however overdue on age by nearly a year.

Just one more thing... forgotten as it's been a couple of years since my last Clio. Are the belts 36k & 5 years? Or is it 3 years?

I bought my misses BG 182 full fat or whatever it is with 34k, belts done and in pretty good condition. £2800 i paid. (march time i think it was)
