2005 182 ignition failure

Dash lights up, all needles go as south as possible, electrics make a weird noise.

When I turn the key the servos rapidly click and car does not start. What could be wrong?

Bet its the battery.

check battery and terminals.

make sure you still check the terminals though, will still jump fine if the terminals are a bit loose as you've only got to move them a tiny bit and they will feel ok.

What do you think I'd need to do to get it working consistently again

just make sure they are nipped up and you can't twist them on the post.

Dead cell in battery, I've discovered. Ah well. Overnight parts from Japan for me!
