There is one decatted that hammers it regularly through the village with the sound bouncing off the houses. In fairness they sound immense. I thought it had a hint of 6 cylinder about it, similar to a GT-R. Shame they are driven generally by idiots.

The new V10 sounds ok but is still far too quiet!

Thing is they sound immense. They look OK. They aren't great to drive. Not bad, by any means. But a golf r has it covered everywhere bar straight lines.

It's neither here nor there for me. It's not a great drivers car, and in comparison to a RR it's not a great daily.

Why not a great daily? Its got 5 doors and a boot?

Surely it has the noise as they rev quite high don't they? Just take the silencers and sound deadening out?

Well it clearly doesn't work for everyone. IIRC @Danny_172 has had his fair share of sex with pigs, and he doesn't own an RS3

There's Two of these RS3's that live close to me, i'am pretty sure they have the 'Sports Exhaust', sounds like all hell is breaking lose when one or both go for a 'hoon' sounds ace!

The standard previous gen R8 V10 (not the plus model) was one of the most disappointing sounding cars I've driven.

The plus model was a lot better and the current gen sound good but only at the top end when you get the V10 wail.

I'm not a massive v8 lover either, unless it revs over 8k. Georg plasa's judd v8 was imo one of the best sounding v8's ever. Massive induction then screaming like a v10 f1 car. My idea of motoring heaven.
The rs3 with straight through does sound awesome. Prefer 6cylinder though.

I think that would have to be judged on a case by case basis though. Two engines of the same configuration can be very different.

No one answered the service desk at two dealers after calling 4 times. The one dealer I did get through to couldn't give me a price!

JCT600 have just emailed me saying it'll be £371 for an oil change and to look at it! f**k that.

Just got a price of £165 for the service and inspection from a local specialist. Audi are investigating it as proper parts may not be used... The only actual part used in the service is an oil filter lol
