2118s wrong offset for ph1! :(

  SchwepTek™
OK so i went to have camber and tracking setup on the new coilies today, however, when set to -1 degrees the front wheels rubbed on the height adjusters on the shocks.

They have told me that I need 12mm spacers and extended bolts all round at a cost of £98 all in.

What do you lot think? Spacers or different wheels?

LOL!

98 quid is quit a lot. But they will look good. Suppose you could allways sell the spacers later on.
How much do you love the wheels?

A fair amount to have bought my 2nd brand new set... lol

Cant think of anything else that looks as good on clios in 15".

Yeh the guy said they are hubcentric. I did question the strength in comparison to standard setup.

Should all be good yeh?

Any other wheel suggestions?

Turinis lol.

I love OZ F1s but they are quite old now. Although they are light and the 2118's are quite heavy?

I have a pair of 25mms mate, I knew they made big ones but didn't know they went less than 15/20mm. Should be fine with hubcentric ones but I'd have more ease of mind with ones that bolt to the hub :)

Aye, i've just 10mm ones for the vee.

OK so i have spoken to the garage again and they said the spacers need a minimum centre bore of 73mm.....

My 2118s are 60mm. :S

Get some decent wheels tbh. Why get coilovers etc then chuck on wheels that could crush Godzilla?!?!?!?!

renault centre bore is 60.1, VAG is 57.1

Why don't you get the spacers custom machined by someone and save machining costs on your 2118s?

I know a s**t hot guy that machines all sorts.

He just made my mates custome spacers for his Clio, and machined my 172 hubs to fit the valver.

Ring me later and I'll pass you his details.

so how did this nightmare end up ? (saying this because your garage called to say you need a very strange bore size ?!)
