32 Playstation 3 Dev kits.

A courier has just turned up with 3 pallets with 32 dev kits, each weighing in at 33kgs each. To say I'm a bit tired now would be an understatement.

It was funny to see the office beefcake take one and then realise it wasn't really that light. lol

Just bugger, someone has to asset tag all these and then courier most of them elsewhere. The rest I need to find cupboard space for. I reckon we'll use one of them to replace the beta kit I've just had to send back.

There's no point, I can't do s**t with it. Most programers can't so it would be no use to me. lol

I'd need to be as I'd be out of a job too.

I'll wait till we get some test stations, I'll be able to borrow one of those.

Are the Dev kits Region free? i.e If when the US and Jap ones come out you could get games and use it in a Dev box

If you have only just got the release dev kits how can Sony expect games companys to have a game ready for launch date ?? (i.e 6 months from now)

Are many games co's dropping the ps3 and just concentrating on other platforms ?

No idea yet Chris. They are usually jumpered to allow you to set the region. Just opened a box, they've actually got Blu-Ray drives in them at last.

PS3 will still be the winner. PS2 is still selling in massive numbers. It's only geeks and hardcore gamers who favour the 360, though it is reaching a much wider audience now.
