360 Data Transfer

Hi, I had the original Xbox 360 (with detachable HDD) from release. When I upgraded, my mate bought this off me and seldom plays Forza 4 on it (He is a PS3 Lad). He hags never been online with it, and has simply carried on using my gamertag, and played his Forza 4 game.....

However, he has now upgraded to a new 360, and is going to go online, with his own Gamertag. He isnt interested in achievements, or anything other than his Saved Forza game file. He simply wants to put this game file, onto his new 360, with his new gamertag, using a USB drive, but its not letting him?

Any idea why? or is it not possible?

IIRC you can't transfer Forza game saves, it's something to do with stopping people from copying cars over to different accounts or something. I remember having this problem with Forza 3 when I bought a slim a couple of years ago, and just ended up never playing the game again.

He should be able to add the old HDD into the new Xbox by cracking open the case - the drive slips into the new model.

I done this last year with my new Slim ..

I've transferred my forza 4 save to my new Xbox. Haven't tried it yet I know I have to install all the dlc and stuff again which will be annoying

Have a watch of this - it's really easy. It'll add the drive as a 2nd drive - you can load / save as usual.
