360 headset... ghey?

what are your views on these? are they really geeky, do they make you look ghey?

personally I only really ever use mine if I'm talking to people I know, like playing say Bayliss or Chris on PGR3 or if I'm speaking to my other mates, I'm not too keen on talking to the many foreign plebs you get on live tbh (including southernors ;) ). Taylor was taking the piss out of the headset saying it's uber geek, can see why, but imo anyone that's on live has used theirs... anyone not use theirs? what's the view on them? lol

I feel a prat wearin mine! Make sure all the curtains are closed so no one can see me. It's only used when playing against friends! Honest!

damn right, but that's not the point, it's kinda useful... I can feel us headset users are going to get totally owned by the majority non 360 owning public... hopefully they wont notice it ;) pmsl

i feel a bit of a nonce wearing it, but its definately required for some games. Don't mind talking to people i know, but randoms are a no no. I was playing some boys off here last week and my missus came downstairs and said "who the fcuk are you talking too". When she saw me in the headset she gave me a look of great disgust. LOL

pmsl, yup, I got the same off Taylor, but with added abuse of "you big ghey, thats soooo geeky!" hehe. thing is though everyone on my list I know, so that's how I justify it... but yeah, I suppose it does look pretty bad! lol

we need more people posting on this to make us look not quite as bad ;)

They are geeky and they do make you look ghey.....but you do need them for most games.

Besides I quite enjoy a bit of banter with the retards across the pond;)

Why are the geeky? They just allow you to communicate with fellow players, thus enhancing the game experience. Anyone who worries what they look like while playing a game in their own home, has bigger gheyness issues to address than worrying about wearing a headset imo ;)

it's the fact you are dressed up as a Storm Trooper as well though... :rasp:

erm... pass... lol

tbh, I think the only people that wont be bothered by wearing them are the same tools that walk around wearing bluetooth hands free kits and not only dont realise they look like t***s, but actually think they are the daddy because it gives them some sort of inflated sense of self when wearing it. I use mine more as a spare phone, it's easier if the other person is already on line.

What a pointless thread ;)

If you really worry about it, get one of these, then at least you'll look no queerer than those losers who walk around Tesco's wearing bluetooth handsfree. :clown:

LOL.....noooooo, like Roy said, nothing wrong with wearing them IN YER OWN HOME....thats a huge difference to looking like a tool or Lt Uhuru with your bluetooth stuck in your lug hole walking round Game...

i've asked for one of these for christmas, can't be doing with the wired headset with a wireless controller!

Totally agree - in fact the headset wire gets in the way more than a wired controller would. Technically the controllers batteries should last longer too.

humm when i got a text saying that jon was winning in this thread i was expecting something a little more , the general concencus is that its geeky still lol

I only use mine when i'm racing my mates so I can goad them and take the piss, don't use it ANY other time as it's UBERGAY

okay, it's geeky, but not THAT bad... it's a necessary evil! when you get your 360 you will understand that's it's needed... I don't talk to randoms though, as it's always those whiney American brats you get...

Taylor, stop trying to control him ;)

If you want to speak to him, don't do it on here, go buy yourself an Xbox and a headset ffs and talk to him on that like us normal people haha

Perfectly ok if your playing people you know, not so if you want to talk to randoms which I never do on live, EVER.
