36k Service = £225?

  Audi A3 TDI 170 B.E.
I imagine that alot of people who dont use this site would rather have a full renault service history, and people who look to buy these, again who dont use this site would probably prefer to have full renault service history instead of full service history..

After the 24k service I got from my local dealer I know I would prefer to have a renault specialist service my car in the future, I just dont understand why renault say no it doesnt need doing and the specialists we know through this site say we do?.....

It does say in there hand book that the AUX belt needs changing, they just can't read the book correctly.

Next to the guide for the 36k or 5 years service is a "(7)", if they then look at the bottom of the page its says "except clio Sport 182"

This was pointed out when I Asked at Renalut In Reading was qouted £280 for service then add £200 for the AUX belt.

Thanks for the replies guys. TBH I don't give a s**t about the belt, I want shot of the rattly, vibrating, knocking, perforated exhausting old shed anyway shortly after the service so f**k it.

Just get it serviced at your renault dealer then mate would probably appeal that little bit more with the FRSH when you sell it....

Seems to me people will pay an extra £100+ for a service just to get the Renault stamp in the book. Is it really worth it when you come to sell it though? Cos that's the only reason you'd do it.

My first service was at Rentech, and the 24k one will be too!

LOL

He's found a car he thinks he wants Ali...that is until it's been delivered, and we see pics of the Roy-mobile running on its 19s with its footwell lighting...

There was, I remember a topic he posted after coming back after a 'spirited' drive, and I think he must have stained the seats. The word b**ch was used several times IIRC hahaa

He is so fickle, poor Clio..bring on the Maccy D's footwell lighting and 19s then ;)

LOL

The Clio has been a superb car. No doubt about it. But it's essentially a fast shed.

It rattles on a glass road. The suspension creaks like it's made from old railway sleepers when the steering wheel is used. The tyres skip and scrub when the steering wheel is used. The suspension batters itself to pieces when a front wheel loses grip off the lights. The exhaust falls apart weekly. The engine sounds like someone's tipped a bag of spanners into it when the revs reach 6500rpm.

It's a capable quick car, but as an ownership prosepct it falls a long way short of what I need from a car at this point in my life. FFS the jack I used when I had a flat tyre the other week felt better made than the car. It's a fragile machine and it feels it. In comparison the Honda feels bomb proof. That's fine - it's newer and costs a lot more so it should do :)

Keep your chav chariots! I'm moving on to great things ;) Oh and incidentally, the 19s are out. I think! Peperami talked me out of those on MSN. Almost :D

Aye, I wouldn't use anyone but Mike now, top service at a great price. I trust the work, the man and his prices.

Although coming from the the north of England is lunacy! hehe Fair play though lol.

Oh if only logic prevailed and we all fell out of love with these "chav chariots" and went the way of Honda.......but not to a Civic for christs sake.

It looks like a space ship....and not in a good way.

The day i decide a Honda looks appealing is the day i know im gettin on a bit....no offence to the Honda lovers.

Sounds fair to me. We don't all like the same things

BTW has anyone ever actually seen a space ship? The only one I've seen is the space shuttle and it doesn't look much like a Honda Civic to me. Especially with the side rocket boosters! There's the Saturn 5 I suppose, but that didn't have any wheels...

Anyway. Back on topic. I've decided to download a Renault dealer stamp. Stand by my car and kick the tyres. Pour in some cheapo oil that you use in all Clios. Stamp the book. Job done. Amounts to the same as full Renault history ;)

I'll take the blame for the spaceships.

So yeah, anyway, Rentech, yes, very good....Cup is having its cambelt done there when i get hold of Mike.

Maz, so if I've got this right. You can arrange a service for me for £250?

No you will have to phone Rentech and arrange it yourself :rasp: lol

Anyway, let's not get the thread Spaminated.

Service. Renault. £250 to do Maz. Cars. Spaceships. Yadda yadda.
