ok, any box with lower ratios whilst retaining the same diff/final drive ratio....OR keeping the ratios std and rasing the final drive ratio will lead to better acceleration.

is that ok? lol

yeh, surely it wud seem ludacrus to put a lower ratio box on a car, and have less gears? the whole point of shorter-ratio gearboxes is to have more gears to play around with?!

(btw- i know u all know that- just thought id say it!)

Macks right! Peugeot 307 WRC had 4 speed box in the beginning of the season. Now they have 5 speed again like 206 did.

Although, Rovanpera was racing with four gears almost the whole Cyprus rally. And Gronholm without a clutch. :cry:
