53 plate Clio always a cup ??

Saw a 172 the other day and it didnt look right. Am I right in thinking that the normal 172's did not come on a 53 plate its just the cups? Correct me if I am wrong

Nope, not rare and 172 cups were first registered on 52 plates.

My 172 Cup is an '04 plate.

My old 172 was a normal one on a 53 reg ! And it had cruise control which im told is rare on them?? i thought it was normal lol

there is rare 54 plate 172's and i suppose there could be a few 05's cutting about too! but there are plenty 53 and 04 plates, 53 onwords got cruise control.

First of the 172 cups (potentially press cars) were 02 plates
