6 point harness install

Morning guys,

I’ve got some Schroth 6 point harnesses sat in the garage that I’d like to put into my clio. My only issue being is, I don’t currently have a cage installed.

Would it be safe to fit them providing the angles are met, or is it a big no?

If people have got them SAFELY installed without the use of a cage, where have you guys mounted them?

Personally I wouldn’t install them unless you can get them at the correct angles.

Depending on the height of the harness slots, the isofix bar mounting points in the boot should be ok, you'd have to check the angle.

Refer to MSA guidance for some good verified information.

Easiest way to cause yourself some serious harm in the event of needing the harness to do its job.

I would imagine the the isofix points fall within the safe range. Mine did.
